Fireworks Safety For this July 4th Weekend!

7/2/2021 (Permalink)

Fireworks can be fun, but also dangerous!

SERVPRO of North Seminole County wants to help you celebrate safely with your family, so here are a few firework safety tips we think you should be aware of:

  1. Always follow CDC guidelines, keeping 6 feet apart, and wearing a mask when in group settings.
  2. It is important that you know about and abide by the local firework laws set in your area. (This can help avoid putting a damper on your holiday with a ticket or violation fee.)
  3. Adults should ALWAYS assist their kids when setting off fireworks.
  4. Set off your fireworks in an open area. (Keep away from trees, homes, people, buildings, etc.)
  5. Have a source of water nearby, and always keep away from dry grass when setting off fireworks to avoid fires.
  6. Avoid wearing loose clothing, and we aware of wind patterns.
  7. Finally, clean up when you’re done! (Please don't litter.)

Happy 4th of July from all of us at SERVPRO of North Seminole County!
